The action
here takes place in a crypt - an abandoned
one, at that. There's dungeons, spooky passageways,
creaking floors and plenty of z-axis fun on
the weapons-packed, crumbling extravaganza.

Acrilica is a strange one.
It is slightly marred by the over-use of textures,
and it never seems to meld, but it's a nice
enough map all the same, boasting a good flow,
handy weapon placement, platforms and hiding
places.

This is
a spankingly good remake of Unreal Tournament's
Pit of Agony by Sidney 'Clawfist' Rauchberger.
The graphics have been beautifully tarted
up, but it retains the atmosphere and playability
of the original.

In a dark
and curious temple, there lies a deathmatch
arena that just cannot be ignored. Statues
decorate the halls, plants grow freely from
the stone floor, and there's frag opportunities
a-plenty as you wander around through the
crumbling rooms.

Up in
the Italian Alps lies this crumbling old fortress.
It's damp and cold, the air is thin and the
mist obscures your view but don't let that
stop you from fragging yourself stupid on
this gorgeous map.

It's time
for some Egyptian-styled gun-fun with Amenta.
This is a spacious map that, unfortunately,
does look a bit dull, but it has this certain
je ne se quois that makes it appealing. Plus,
at 672 Kb, it won't break the download bank.
